Privacy policy

Rituals is built for small, private circles. This policy explains what data the service uses and why.

Who operates Rituals

Rituals is operated by Swathi Raj, an individual developer trading as Sunrise Designs for Life. Questions about privacy can be sent to swathirajsunil@gmail.com.

Data we collect

Google account identity. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, profile image, and stable provider and user identifiers needed to authenticate you.

Profile and circle data. We store your profile name, avatar, timezone, onboarding state, circle memberships, ritual names and meanings, schedules, and participation state.

Your contributions. We store offerings, reflections, optional photos, and operational timestamps used to run the daily practice and reveal.

Notifications and device data. If you enable notifications, we store your preference, Expo push token, a device identifier used for push token management, and notification delivery state.

On-device data. Local drafts, recent-circle selection, and experience preferences can remain on your device until submitted, cleared, or the account is deleted.

Service logs. Our infrastructure providers may maintain limited security, reliability, and operational logs.

How we use data

We use this data to authenticate you, maintain your session, operate private circles, store and reveal offerings according to the product rules, send notifications you request, provide support, prevent abuse, secure the service, and diagnose failures.

Visibility inside a circle

Circle information is available only to authenticated members under database access rules. Offering photos are private storage objects and are released only through authorized product flows. Local drafts are not uploaded unless you submit them.

Service providers

Rituals uses Google for sign-in; Supabase for authentication, database, storage, and server functions; Expo and EAS for builds, updates, push routing, and application infrastructure; Apple for iOS and TestFlight distribution; and website and DNS providers to serve this public site.

We do not sell personal information. No behavioral analytics or advertising SDK is used. No advertising profile is created.

Retention and account deletion

Account data is retained while your account is active. In-app account deletion permanently removes your account, profile, personal contributions, and uploaded media, subject to short operational backup or log retention and legal obligations. Leaving a circle is different from deleting your account.

Your controls

You can edit your profile, change device notification permission, leave a circle, or begin permanent account deletion from Your account → Delete account. If you cannot access the app, contact swathirajsunil@gmail.com.

Security and changes

We use access controls and private storage to limit data access, but no online service can promise absolute security. Material changes to this policy will be posted here with a new date.
